Orange-red mini gerberas, pale chrysanthemums and foliage create a lively contrast between warm and light tones. Chrysanthemums come in a wide range of colours and flower shapes, from full, rounded blooms to simple flowers with a distinct centre. The red berries of hypericum provide a small accent among the dominant blooms. The colourful arrangement suits a birthday celebration or a visit. Mini gerberas should stand in shallow water, just 4–5 cm deep; deeper immersion softens their hollow stems and hastens rot. Remove from the greenery any leaves that would sit below the waterline, as they quickly spoil the water.
