Gerberas and Carnations

Santini is a small-flowered spray chrysanthemum: each branched stem carries a cluster of small blooms rather than a single flower. The bouquet suits birthdays and can also be given as a thank-you. Carnations usually last 14 to 21 days in a vase. Gerberas have soft stems that tend to bend, so a narrower vase or support helps keep the flowers upright. Remove leaves from the greenery stems if they would sit below the waterline, as they can quickly spoil the water.
