Sympathy basket arrangement

Red roses and mini gerberas bring red flower tones to the arrangement, contrasting with the greenery. Hypericum is used in floristry for its glossy coloured berries rather than its flowers, adding another colour detail. The wicker basket serves as the container for the arrangement, and the floral foam inside needs to stay moist, as the flowers draw water from it. A short message is traditionally written on the sympathy ribbon, for example 'Remembered with love', with names or a note about the sender's relationship to the deceased.
