Tetín is associated with Princess Ludmila, the first Czech saint and grandmother of St Wenceslas, who, according to tradition, died here in 921. Three churches stand in the village: the Romanesque Church of St Catherine, the Church of St John of Nepomuk and the early Baroque Church of St Ludmila, dating from the 1680s. The annual St Ludmila pilgrimage is usually held on the third weekend of September, with a pilgrimage Mass, markets and a historical procession. The Tetín Museum and Information Centre presents legends about the village's beginnings, St Ludmila's legacy and an exhibition on limestone mining; nearby sights also include the Tetín Rocks Nature Reserve and the remains of Tetín Castle.
