Lužce is a small municipality of around 150 residents, about 9 km east of Beroun. There is no railway station in Lužce, and bus routes connect it with Prague and Beroun.

The 18th-century castle in Lužce, with a Baroque chapel, was originally the summer residence of an Augustinian monastery. The Centre for Vedic Studies has been based in Lužce since 2010 and holds regular Sunday programmes for the public.
