The municipality of Hudlice has about 1,200 residents. It lies around 7 km west of Beroun, at the foot of Krušná hora (609 m). The local school teaches pupils in grades 1 to 9, and the municipality also has a nursery school.

Josef Jungmann was born in Hudlice in 1773. His timber-framed birthplace, built in 1718, now serves as a memorial with an exhibition. Hudlice has a pseudo-Romanesque Church of St Thomas dating from the 1870s. Hudlická skála (487 m), a limestone rock with a cave, is the village's main landmark.
